Thunderstorms shake up Western Washington

Thunder and lightning put on a show for people along the northern Olympic Peninsula and the San Juan Islands overnight and it's expected to continue throughout Friday.

The overnight storms led to about 2,000 power outages around Port Angeles and may have sparked a house fire.

Thunder was also heard in Seattle around 10 a.m. Latest Forecast

KING 5 Meteorologist Rich Marriott said the thundershowers were expected to continue through the day, including the?Olympic and KItsap peninsulas, Cascades and Cascade foothills and north of Everett. Doppler Radar showed lightning strikes all across the region.
